Best Simple Hummus

  • 1 cup dry chickpeas or 2 cans of pre-cooked

  • 1 lemon 

  • 1/2 cup tahini 

  • 4 tablespoons olive oil 

  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt 

  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne 

  • 3 cloves of pealed pan roasted garlic (optional)

Try fresh chickpeas once and you will never go back to canned! Soak 1 cup of chickpeas over night. In the morning add soaked chickpeas to a pot and cover with water. Boil until tender. Let cool before moving on to the next step. Add the chickpeas into a food processor allonf with the rest of the the ingredient and blend until smooth. Serve with extra garlic, some reserved chickpeas and sea salt.
